mental and emotional steadiness : a counterbalancing weight, force, or influence.
Finding balance and harmony - in the modern home - can feel impossible. Without tools and practices to support your desire to experience deeper states of being in daily life.
Once you recognise ‘balance’ does not mean ‘having it all’ - you can change from the mindset of ‘doing it all’ to ‘being ok with everything just as it is’’.
Your lifestyle, daily choices, thoughts and habits shape your experience of life and what we know is that when we give our attention and intention to cultivate life giving practices like meditation we create an open, stable foundation that supports daily living.
Rather than giving equal weight to each part of your daily motions, as if on a see-saw; instead, we can approach each day as a whole circle. What daily practices bring your peace? Which rhythms or movements to your life fill your cup? These are the primary elements of your circle, holding the most weight and space.
Meditation, as medicine.
An opportunity to reach calm, contentment and clarity, a vital ritual as important as fueling your body with food and water, or breathing air deeply into your lungs. History will help you to understand why meditation has been used effectively for thousands of years by Yogis, Buddhists and Indigenous peoples to heal and understand ourselves, others and our environment on a deeper level.
May your experience a sense of openness, clarity and enlivened presence as you practice, learn and study this course and the teachings offered.
Let us work together to explore these practices as they trickle down into every element of our lived experience.
In weeks 4-5 we will explore the mind before a final week of integration. The mind is the most complex system in the human body. The yogis believe the mind is the seat of thought, emotions, desire and memories it is said meditation, chanting and breathing purify the subtle body~ the mind.
In weeks 3-4 we explore body sensing and the importance of our connectio to our body. To be fully integrated, relational and healthy it is vital to have a connection to the sense that we have a body and one that we should care for. .
The yogi s believe the body exists as a vehicle to which we use to fulfil our purpose in life, whatever that may be. We will explore tools that support a sense of the body safely as well as teachings that encourage you to see your relationship with your body as sacred, that needs to be moved, loved & nourished with committed wholesome daily practices.
In weeks 1-2 you will learn about the healing benefits of the Breath. The breath is the most important tool we have in the process of moving inward because the breath is our direct link to the nervous system and therefore the direct line to our mind.
"This is such a wonderful course. Harmony takes participants through a number of meditation techniques which allow me to try them out and see which works best for me. Harmony is clearly very passionate about what she does, and is
eager to share her learnings with you. I would absolutely recommend this course.
